We had our son Quan’s birthday party last year November. The theme we chose was Monkey’s, with colours of bright yellow, turquoise and brown of course. Here are some detail Goody Bags - I used old formula cans for the “favour boxes”. I’ve been collecting them since the day Q was born, just knew I had to do something with them. These then doubled up for “money boxes”. I designed a sticker which we stuck around the can, and then my hubby cut a slit into the plastic lid. Ea

Having your little one’s birthday party in the middle of winter shouldn’t have to cramp your style. Venue: You just have to get on Gumtree or jump on Google and you will find a variety of party venues where you can host your party. If you are on a tight budget and prefer to host the party at home, why not clear out the furniture in your lounge / dining room or change your garage into your party spot. Another option is to contact your child’s school and ask them if you could h
Tyron's Car's Party Although not a very original theme, its what he wanted - Ty is a die hard Finn McMissile fan... We only invited Tyron's friends from school and had a total of 8 kids and 16 adults. Venue and Entertainment - Tyron's party was held at Yeesh in Bryanston. For Arlias Princess party there was only 7 little kids, all of the same age and I think they had a fantastic day. The little boys “mini-cakes” were decorated in white and blue and we used Knight Shields to decorate them. Decorations - For the kiddies snack table – I used clear plastic glasses and made little tutus to go around each glass. I also used cupcake
This is a very easy fun party for a boy with lots of tools, trucks and hats! Decoration - I made some sign boards to give it more of a feel for construction! Got some hard hats, belts with tools in, and a hard hat cake! Games - A sand pit with trucks, diggers and spades in will keep them busy for a while! And a party is not complete without a jumping castle. Food - Lunch boxes with hot dogs, or light snacks in just so they get some food in before getting a sugar rush! #celeb
Jessca’s 2nd birthday party was a “CAT IN THE HAT” theme and took place in January slap bang in the middle of the very wet patch we had in JHB so we had to have it indoors! Venue - The garage was the only space we had and it turned out pretty well. Food - Braodacres Spar provided platters of biscuits and cheese, fresh cut fruit and sushi to snack on – normally I would have done it myself but with a new born in the house I thought I could splurge. Decorations - We got plain pa
