Natural Remedies to help with Morning Sickness
Morning sickness is a terrible symptom of pregnancy. No one likes feeling ill, especially every day!
We have compiled a list of great list of natural and safe remedies that you can use to help reduce the nausea
Ginger. Grate some ginger and soak it in hot water to make a tea.
Peppermint, Raspberry Leaf and Aniseed Tea. These teas are great to help you battle the nausea monster. Sip on it throughout the day
Crackers. Feeling hungry but can’t stomach anything? Be sure to have a packet of plain crackers you can nibble on. They help with the nausea wonderfully. It is suggested that you eat a few in bed before you get up in the morning.
Foods high in water content. Staying dehydrated is very important when you’re pregnant. It can be hard though when you’re feeling nauseas. When you can try and eat things like carrots, celery, grapes, melons, apples and pears
Fennel and Mint. These are both great remedies. Soak the one or the other in some hot water for about 20 minutes and sip on it. You can alternatively just chew on some fennel seeds which are known to soothe upset tummies.
Vitamin B6. Try boosting your vitamin B6 intake which helps with nausea. Do NOT take vitamin B12 without consulting your doctor.
Zinc. Try taking a zinc supplement each day.
Make a tummy rub. Use 1 drop of peppermint oil and 3 drops of camomile oil. Put it on a warm damp cloth and rub your tummy with it.
Exercise. Go for a walk or do some light exercise to help with your hormones.
Protein. Try and eat something rich in protein before going to bed.
Rest, water and fresh air. Try and get as much fresh air as you can. Take naps, being tired makes the nausea worse and be sure to drink as much water as you can to keep hydrated.
