How to reduce stretch marks naturally

how to reduce stretch marks

If you're a mom, chances are you have stretch marks, and some really big ones too!

Well I try to embrace my mommy body like we all do but I can't help but want to erase some things.....like my stretch marks, or at least try and reduce my stretch marks a bit.

I've tried all different things over the years and they're not nearly as bad as they were in the beginning. I was one of those pregnant mammas who watched in horror as my stretchmarks grew with my tummy. It really wasn't pleasant for me.

The thing with try to get rid of stretch marks is that their is not fast cure when it comes to topical treatment. It's a slow process that you have to stick to!

I've compiled a list of very easy to use remedies that wont take any time at all to use because I know how busy life can get once you have a child!

Here is my list of the top natural remedies you can use to reduce stretch marks.

Castor Oil - You can buy a bottle of caster oil at your local pharmacy. Castor Oil is really good for stretch marks, use it weekly for a month to start seeing results. Try rubbing it on every evening before bed! Castor oil can be quite sticky so maybe try wrapping something around your tummy after you've put on the castor oil, something you can use regularly that you don't mind getting ruined.

Aloe Vera - We have a huge supply of this in our country which is fab. Just rub it on the effected areas regularly and it will make a difference. It's really really great for your skin.

Lemon Juice - Lemon juice is great at reducing stretch marks, scars and acne. Just rub it on the effected area regularly. It's not my favorite though because it dries my skin out a bit but it does help. Don't leave the lemon juice on all night, just put it on for 10 - 15 minutes then rinse it off.

Make a Sugar Scrub - White sugar is great for reducing stretch marks. Add some lemon and coconut oil and BAM you have a super wonderful exfoliating stretch mark reducer that you can use every time you shower or bath. Your skin will feel really soft too!

Potato - Yip, that's right, a potato! Potato have great vitamins and minerals that help to restore your skin. Just cut that baby into slices and rub it on the effected areas. Make sure you coat the stretch marks nicely. Leave it on for a while and then wash it off. You could leave it on overnight but really, no one wants to go to bed feeling and smelling like a potato!

Vitamin E oil or cream - Get a good vitamin E oil or cream and use that as your body moistener. Anything else you have that is shop bought just chuck it. You can also buy vitamin E capsules and cut them open and put them on the effected area once a week.

So there you have it, my natural remedies you can use for stretch marks, and whats great about it is that a few of the things you should already have at home so you can start immediately!

What natural remedies have you used on your stretch marks before? Did it work?
