Painful - the procedure can be painful, especially if no aesthetic is used. According to a comprehensive study, new-born responses to pain are "similar to but greater than those observed in adult subjects
Rare Complications - cutting the foreskin too long or too short
Infections - There can sometimes be bleeding or infection and improper healing.

Research has shown that there are no overwhelming health-related reasons for circumcision to be routinely performed on all new-born males. It is not a life-or-death procedure,
